It is with immense pleasure that CHANNELNEWS has interviewed the famous Mauritian writer, Shakuntala Hawaldar who will be launching her 16th book, titled, Aah! The Light on 21 December 2018. In the book, the author is sending a very important message to her readers. She exhorts them to live an authentic life; free from jealousy, greed, hatred, lies and lust.
According to Shakuntala Hawaldar, God resides in every human being. However, if man allows his animal instinct to get the better of him, then he will not find God. “Instead of allowing his mind to become corrupt, man should be good in word, deed and thought. In this way, we can live harmoniously and contribute to build a better world”, explains Mrs Hawaldar.
The author is of the opinion that every human being can become mature and see the light provided that they cultivate a positive mindset and demonstrate love, compassion and honesty towards others. In brief, Aah! The light embodies dept and shows us how to live in this competitive and corrupt world. Surely, the book is a force to reckon with and it is also a solid foundation for a better world.
